Ronin is an alias adopted by several characters in Marvel Comics. However, it's most famously associated with Clint Barton, also known as Hawkeye.
After the events of *Avengers: Disassembled* where he presumed to be dead, Clint Barton reappeared as Ronin in *New Avengers* #11 (2005). Shedding his Hawkeye persona, Ronin wore a black and gold suit with a full face mask, concealing his identity.
As Ronin, Barton demonstrated heightened martial arts skills and used a variety of weapons, including nunchucks and throwing stars, in addition to his archery prowess. This change allowed him to operate outside the law and take on missions he couldn't as Hawkeye.
Though other characters have assumed the mantle, Clint Barton's time as Ronin remains the most iconic and impactful, demonstrating a darker and more ruthless side to the skilled marksman.
